We had our welcome back event for all district employees yesterday morning at Lillywhite Gym, which included our Years of Service awards. We are honored to have those that continue their long-term commitment to our students and this community! Help us in congratulating them in all they do!

A huge shout out to the City of Aztec for helping us hang our new weather stations! As a district, we have a few new Perry Weather stations to help us with notifications. The staff at the City of Aztec did not hesitate to help and let us use their bucket truck, and we are grateful for the great community partnership we have! Thanks again, the install went great!

We have a new sound system at Fred Cook Stadium! We needed an upgrade and are grateful we were able to make this change. Athletics and many district activities use this facility for events, games, and other community gatherings, and we are excited to use the new system. Thank you to all who participated in our athletic golf fundraiser to help make this happen! Go Tigers!

Dear Tiger Community, our friends at the San Juan County Sheriff's Office and the Criminal Justice Training Authority will be at McCoy Elementary on June 26th and 27th to conduct training scenarios with their most recent academy graduates. There will be law enforcement vehicles and activity at McCoy for both days, but we are excited to participate and help our local agencies as they continue their training exercises! There will be signs along the road and on the doors but we wanted to let everyone know. Thank you for understanding!

Check this out! As part of our CTE Healthcare Pathway here in Aztec, we have just received our new Anatomage Tables! These digital, 3D modeling tables offer our healthcare pathway students a chance to explore and learn about anatomy in a way that usually only happens in medical schools! We are grateful to allow our students to have such advanced technology and look forward to learning more!

On Friday, May 17th, we dedicated our Lydia Rippey gym in honor of Charline M. Gaston. Mrs. Gaston tirelessly supported the Aztec community and all our Aztec students, and we are honored to celebrate her! The Charline M. Gaston Memorial Multipurpose Room will continue to serve our students and community for years to come! Thank you to all who supported this wonderful event!

Mill Levy Spotlight - Due to community support, we can purchase and maintain items for our graduation ceremonies. While the stage, stage skirt, rails, ramps, lumber, and supplies were purchased using existing mill levy funds from a previous election, this is a great example of what we use these funds for. We appreciate your support and we appreciate our setup crew! Be on the lookout for additional mill levy spotlights soon!
