Aztec Municipal School District is proud to share that Aztec High School and Vista Nueva High School have each been recognized as Capturing Kids’ Hearts (CKH) Rising Star Campuses for the 2024–2025 school year.
This national recognition, awarded by the Flippen Group, highlights schools that are making exceptional strides in building safe, connected, and relationally driven campus cultures. With thousands of schools across the country participating in the Capturing Kids’ Hearts process, being named a Rising Star Campus is a significant honor.
Both AHS and Vista Nueva have demonstrated strong leadership and a school-wide commitment to creating positive learning environments where students feel valued, respected, and engaged. In a congratulatory message, CKH representatives praised the schools’ efforts, saying,
“It IS A BIG DEAL — especially when you consider the fact we serve a couple of thousand schools across the nation. I am very proud of the hard work that you and your staff have accomplished this year. Please let your staff know that I am very proud of you all!”
This recognition is a reflection of the dedication shown by our principals, teachers, and support staff, who continue to prioritize meaningful relationships and social-emotional learning as essential parts of student success.
