The New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) is continuing its statewide effort to boost graduation rates through Operation Graduation: Regional Convenings. Secretary Padilla has set an ambitious goal—to graduate 2,400 more students with the Class of 2026.
The next regional convening will be held in Kirtland on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the Bond Wilson Banquet Hall, located at 540 County Rd 6580.
The event will include two sessions:
Educators: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Parents and Students: 5:15 PM – 7:30 PM
Topics covered will include diploma pathways, coursework and assessment requirements, transcript audits, support for students with disabilities, the Next Step Plan, dropout prevention, and resources for gifted and at-risk populations.
These sessions aim to strengthen collaboration between schools and families while ensuring all students have the guidance and support they need to graduate and thrive beyond high school.
