We are thrilled to share some exciting news about the Aztec Municipal School District!
We are proud to announce that one of our schools has been recognized and designated as a Spotlight School by NM Vistas, the highest ranking in the state. We have five schools that earned the Traditional designation, the second-highest recognition.
We remain committed to continuous improvement and will review current data and gather feedback on ways we can continue to improve as we strive to help every one of our students achieve success academically, socially, and emotionally.
NM Vistas, developed by the New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED), is a public data reporting website that showcases school performance based on state accountability measures and other required criteria from the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), as mandated by the U.S. Department of Education. This resource aims to assist families and community members in identifying schools that are excelling or schools in need of additional support. These school identifications are based on a set of multiple measures informed by stakeholders representing New Mexico's communities.
